TPMS Video

Most vehicles today are equipped with a Tire-Pressure-Monitoring System or TPMS. The TPMS is an electronic system used to monitor the air pressure inside your tires and alert you if they become under-inflated. If your “low pressure” warning light comes on, it means your tire pressure has dropped below the manufacturer’s recommended level, and you should bring your vehicle in for service. We recommend you have your tire pressure checked every time your vehicle is in for service, and your TPMS checked every time you have your tires rotated or balanced. A malfunctioning TPMS will fail to alert you if your tire pressure is too low or alert you when your tire pressure is adequate. A failing TPMS can lead to low tire pressure, which can contribute to increased braking distances and poor handling while driving around Aurora. Properly inflated tires will ensure that your car, truck, or SUV is getting optimal fuel economy and tire life. Underinflated tires are the top cause of tire failure. If you're seeing an illuminated TPMS light on your dashboard, and your tires are properly inflated, or your tires are low, and you don't see a TPMS light on your dash, give Checkpoint Automotive in Aurora a call at 303-400-0592, or click the 'Request Appointment' button today.
